Big News!!
Hey hey!! Some of you may know I've been dealing with almost constant headaches/migraines since returning to Salt Lake. After trying lots of medications and much contemplation between me, my mission president and medical professionals we decided being healthy was more important than staying on my mission. So I'm coming home tomorrow, Thursday December 21, at 9:20 am to John Wayne airport. I'd love to see you all there!! Feel free to text my mom just incase my flight changes.
Something I said when deciding to go back out on my mission was "I will only go if I know I'm going to give it my all" and that's what I did. I got up day after day, put my tag on and pushed through the pain for 14 weeks. But after a certain point I was no longer being an effective missionary. It's heartbreaking to see a dream slowly slip away but the Lord has a cool way of guiding us to where we need to be. I have no clue what the future looks like from here but I'm excited to see where God's plan takes me.
I often remember the Lord's counsel to Joseph Smith in Liberty Jail, "all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good... therefore, hold on" (D&C 122:7, 9)
My mission experience looked far from normal but I would not trade it for anything. Coming home early twice is not what I pictured but it has allowed me to learn and grow so much. I'm excited to continue to learn more about myself and grow my relationship with my Savior throughout my life.
I love you all and appreciate the support! See you on Thursday<3
